Lauren Gee is a London-based producer whose work spans scripted, unscripted, archive, and documentary filmmaking, centering stories from the Caribbean diasporas. Her producing practice explores intergenerational memory, cultural inheritance, and the politics of representation across film and visual art. With an MA in Producing from the National Film and Television School, Lauren has produced works for major institutions including Tate Britain, the Venice Biennale, BFI, and Warner Bros. Her recent projects include Dancing on Road (Warner Bros., 2024), her directorial debut exploring London’s Black female skate community, and Viva Voce (Tate Britain, 2024), a two-channel commission with artist Keith Piper responding to the Rex Whistler mural. With a growing body of work that bridges the Caribbean, Britain, and the wider diaspora, Lauren is committed to developing bold, intimate, and culturally resonant stories that challenge how Caribbean heritage is seen and remembered on screen.
